Diversity of Fruit Quality in Astringent and Non−Astringent Persimmon Fruit Germplasm

چکیده

Persimmon (Diospyros kaki Thunb.) is an economically important tree with a long history of cultivation in China. So far, total approximately 1000 varieties have been found To systematically evaluate the diversity persimmon fruit quality, 22 quality measures appearance, intrinsic, and sensory were evaluated using 61 typical fruit. According to findings, coefficient variation (CV) 15 appearance intrinsic index values ranged from 13.81% (fruit shape index) 165.80% (firmness), CV 7 attributes all higher than 50%, polyphenols ironic soluble pectin contents (ISP) being as high 159.82% 143.80%, respectively. These findings showed that several germplasm resources had highly diverse range wide variation, distribution. Insoluble tannin sugar shown substantial positive correlation flavor indexes (p < 0.05), indicating their significance influencing Cluster analysis was performed utilizing quality. The samples divided into two groups: group I consisted 52 pollination−constant astringent (PCA) 1 pollination−-variant (PVA) resources, II 6 non−astringent (PCNA) 2 pollination−variant (PVNA) resources. results consistent classification based on mode astringency loss, there significant difference This study provides theoretical references for development application

Latex-Fruit Anaphylaxis from Persimmon

Background: Despite rare reports of persimmon anaphylaxis, the association of persimmon with natural rubber latex is low or undetermined, and latex-fruit syndrome presenting with anaphylaxis caused by persimmon has not been reported. Methods: Allergy skin testing were performed for aeroallergens, persimmon and plant foods, including those implicated in the latex-fruit syndrome and local fruits....

Seasonal abscisic acid signal and a basic leucine zipper transcription factor, DkbZIP5, regulate proanthocyanidin biosynthesis in persimmon fruit.

Proanthocyanidins (PAs) are secondary metabolites that contribute to plant protection and crop quality. Persimmon (Diospyros kaki) has a unique characteristic of accumulating large amounts of PAs, particularly in its fruit. Normal astringent-type and mutant nonastringent-type fruits show different PA accumulation patterns depending on the seasonal expression patterns of DkMyb4, which is a Myb t...

Angioedema after ingestion of persimmon fruit

Methods A 41-year-old woman developed severe facial angioedema and dyspnea within 15 minutes of persimmon fruit intake. She was treated with intravenous corticosteroids and antihistamines, monitored in a hospital for two days and attended our clinic the next week for assessment of possible fruit allergy. She reported a previous episode of angioedema and generalized urticaria some months ago, im...

Hypoxia‐responsive ERFs involved in postdeastringency softening of persimmon fruit

Removal of astringency by endogenously formed acetaldehyde, achieved by postharvest anaerobic treatment, is of critical importance for many types of persimmon fruit. Although an anaerobic environment accelerates de-astringency, it also has the deleterious effect of promoting excessive softening, reducing shelf life and marketability. Some hypoxia-responsive ethylene response factors (ERFs) part...
